Fundraising Beyond Borders: Attract Diverse Resources & Partnerships in a Shifting Aid World. A 2-day interactive workshop | April 25–26, 2025 |

Thrive Amid Shrinking Funds

Context

“It’s not the blowing of the wind that determines your destination—it’s the set of the sail.” – Jim Rohn
Let’s gather to reset our sails.

The development sector in Bangladesh—once buoyed by strong donor partnerships and predictable flows—is now sailing uncharted waters. Budgets are shrinking. Longstanding donor priorities are shifting. USAID is re-evaluating its global portfolio with a sharper focus on localization and accountability. FCDO has undergone restructuring, influencing fund allocations and strategic alignments. European donors and multilaterals are redirecting aid toward climate, humanitarian, and migration crises.

In short, institutional funding is no longer guaranteed—it must be re-earned through agility, strategy, and value. But this is not a time for despair. It’s a time for reinvention.
